| Our trip to San Francisco last February was a huge success! There were so many wonderful moments—from amazing dance to streetcar rides to great food , shopping and sightseeing. Unquestionably, the highlight had to be viewing not only a performance but also company class and rehearsal of the second program of the Compania National de Danza of Spain. And this only happened due to the very special connection of Eve with the director of the ballet company from Spain, Nacho Duato, with whom she danced in Holland. Everyone who went came back tired but inspired and with a bit more perspective on the art form and what it means to be a dancer. Thank you Eve and Nacho for that very special time. Also a huge thank you to our chaperones: Moms Shelley Ige and Sharon Pereira, husband Larry Rowland and sister Sally Walstrum. And thanks to all of you girls who conducted yourselves considerately and responsibly for travel with a group. Last but not least, mahalo to you parents who permitted and supported your daughters’ adventure with us. |
